Barbara Marie Miller

Barbara Marie Miller, age 89 of McHenry, passed away on August 21, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Ingleside, Illinois on August 23, 1933  to Jacob and Barbara Diedrich. Barbara married  James W. Miller in St. Peter Catholic Church in Volo, Illinois on September 27, 1952.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband: James W. Miller; her children: James (Pat) Miller and  Sandy Miller (Louie Calderon); her grandchildren: Becky (Mike) Levato, Jeff (Katie) Miller and Greg (Lisa) Miller; her great grandchildren: Dylan Levato, Nathan, Emma, Maddie and Christopher Miller. She is also survived by her brother and sisters in law: Dave Miller (Jan Herbert), Mary Ann Knox and Carole Miller as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Jacob and Barbara Diedrich, her brothers and sisters as well as several nieces and nephews.

Barbara’s visitation will take place on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry, Illinois from 3pm to 7pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the funeral home from 9:30am to 10:30am.  Family and friends will proceed to St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry, Illinois for 11am Funeral Mass which will be followed by a burial at St. Patrick Countryside Cemetery in McHenry, Illinois.
