David "Dave" A. Seibt

David “Dave” A. Seibt, 62, of McHenry, IL born November 18, 1959 in Arlington Heights, IL to Ron Seibt and Carole (Hedemark) Bellino, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on September 3, 2022.

Beloved husband of Kathi (nee) Hannigan, loving father of Kelsey and Krista Seibt. Beloved son of Carole Bellino. Cherished brother of Dale (Kris) Seibt and Tracie Moulton, a dear uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and nephew to many.

Dave was an avid fisherman and boater for many years.  He started as a lifeguard in Huntington Beach, Ca. as a teenager, then moved back to Arlington Heights as a young adult where he met and married his wife Kathi in 1988. Both moved to McHenry, IL over 30 years ago where they enjoyed many summers boating on the Chain of Lakes, especially fishing and swimming in Pistakee Bay. He started his career in HVAC over 37 years ago and had just retired in June 2022. Dave was a buddy to everybody, always willing to grab his tools and help you with whatever you needed. He was a whiz at troubleshooting your air conditioner or furnace and always with a kind word and smile. He was a quiet but strong presence. Dave will be sorely missed by so, so many.

He was preceded in death by his father Ron and all of his grandparents.

Memorial Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 3:30pm to 8:30pm at Colonial Funeral Home, in McHenry, IL. Memorial Visitation will continue on Friday, November 4, 2022 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ 485 W Woodstock St. Crystal Lake, IL 60014 from 10:00am-11:00am with a Memorial Service following at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seibt Family in c/o of Kathi Seibt or in his name to a charity of your choice.
