Dolores R. Kogos, 93, passed away on September 3, 2023 in Barrington, IL. Dolores was born on September 21, 1929 in Chicago, IL.

Dolores had a great work ethic retiring in her 70's . She spent many years working in the automobile industry where she met her late husband John Kogos and developed her love for her Buicks. She then went on to work in various accounting and office manager roles. She was a lover of fashion and accessories and was always up on the latest trends in fashion and makeup. She was also a lover of dogs and cats always having at least one pet. Annual family trips to Mexico were something she enjoyed throughout her life which continued with her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed many kinds of music including disco, pop and R&B and loved to dance. Entertaining and planning parties and family gatherings was her specialty. She was the "midnight snacker" lover of all sweets including baklava.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and is finally resting with her beloved husband.

Dolores is survived by her children: Barry Kogos and Tracey (Greg) Weidner; her grandchildren: Sara (Joseph) Breno, Parker (Sarah) Weidner and Spencer Weidner; and her great-grandaughter: Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her husband: John Kogos; and her parents: Joseph and Rose Markowski.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel at the Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry. The Burial will follow at The Church of Holy Apostles Cemetery in McHenry.
